    Process in OHNS Steel Manufacturing:

    Hardening:

    In hardening OHNS steel should be heated equivalently to 770-830°C or 1436-1508°F to heat it completely. Sometimes OHNS steels may be preheated at 350-500°C. It should be pressurized 30 min/per 25 and then the OHNS steels should be quenched in oil immediately afterward

    Tempering:

    Tempering should be performed on ONHS steels at 177-260°C (350-500°F) to realize its tough stringent hardness.

    Forging Process:

    Forging process is performed on OHNS steel 1038°C-857°C or 1900°F-1575°F and Stress Relieving at an approx temperature of 650°C

    Normalizing:

    Normalizing process is performed to gain the Rockwell testing machine hardness of strict to 40 HRC. After normalizing the specimen becomes stronger and harder than the annealing specimen. OHNS Steel gains its hardness from the alloy of Bainite & Martensite.

    Annealing:

    Soft Annealing process at a mediocre temperature of ranges from 750-780°C. To gain the desired OHNS Steel density of 8670 kg/m 3

    Machinability:

    The machinability of OHNS steel add hardness to the steel alloy structure which ranges from a very good range of approx a rating of 90% to the alloy steels. Machinability verifies the optimum parameters operation of OHNS Steel plates at the speed of 1500 RPM. feed rate 0.059 mm, and depth of cut 1-1.5 mm. OHNS Steel plate has great machinability features and helps to make a good surface finish.

    Welding:

    OHNS Steel comes with a variety of carbon and alloy steels that are specifically used as strong and durable welding tools. In wielding process OHNS steel uses different electrodes. These can be electrodes with mild steel electrodes like E312-16 chromium-based electrodes, or nickel-based electrodes like E-NiCrFe-3. Or on the other hand hard steel electrodes like E312-16 chromium-based electrodes. Fishbone electrodes are used in assessing the hardness of the welding joints. All these electrodes have good resistance properties in terms of hot crack resistance and the chromium-based electrode provides good mechanical properties.
